Taking advantage of panoramic views across the Santa Cruz Mountains, this addition and remodel maximizes day lighting and creates an indoor outdoor relationship across the south side of the house. On the exterior, the original boxy volume is broken down into a composition of different materials Alaskan Yellow Cedar, channel glass, standing seam roof, plaster - expressing the relationships between interior spaces.
