Favorite Hobbies? Designing and furnishing buildings (but you already knew that, right?!) Yoga, Zumba, surfing, walking my dog Lulu on the beach, singing, playing the piano and general outdoors adventuring!
Buildings you like the most? Impossible to choose one, or even a handful, but to avoid being a spoilsport, here is an excerpt, and in no particular order: I love the work of Richard Neutra, Mies Van de Rohe, John Lautner, Joseph Eichler, Alvar Aalto; the Crown Zellerbach Building, San Francisco (SOM); Centre Pompidou, Paris and the Shard, London (Renzo Piano).
Why do you love what you do? It makes me smile. I love the people that I work with and enjoy learning something new each day.
Your cliffnote Bio? Born and raised on a sheep farm in Wales, UK, I was always building and fixing things. Architecture was a logical career path to take. After studying ceramics and furniture design at Art College and interning for a total of 18 months at an architecture firm in San Francisco, my career goal of working in this field and my love for the Bay Area was cemented. In 2008, I graduated with a BA honors degree in Interior Architecture & Design and a diploma in Industrial Studies from Nottingham Trent University. I returned to the Bay Area in 2013, and began working for Fuse in June 2014.
