This project is a very memorable one for Fuse Architects because it was the firm’s first commission. Since childhood, the clients have been great friends of our principal Daniel Townsend. This family originally reached out to us for architectural consulting, then decided to hire Fuse for the master planning of their 100 acre property. Fuse guided the clients through the process of dividing the undeveloped property into four distinct parcels owned by three separate parties. The firm was put in charge of designing everything on the site. The roadways, landscaping, phases of future construction and even a logo for the winery were all welcomed as design opportunities. Previously the clients had owned a modern home. They were interested in a home without too much flash that still encompassed all the comfortable, high-end features they enjoyed. The owners had two specific requests: the first was to include a spectacular closet large enough to fit the current and future amount of clothing, shoes and accessories that they have acquired, the second was to design a special area that the Christmas tree would reside in every year for the holidays. Upon completion this home featured a beautiful pool and lounge area, the warm interior space of the winery and an ample underground wine cellar.
