Dan Townsend is a founding partner of fuse. Townsend brings experience from all scopes of projects, from high-end commercial interiors to custom residential design. He enjoys bringing a project from concept to reality and seeing it through to the final details in construction. He believes in the fuse philosophy of a balanced life, which involves integrating outside activities and passions with architecture. He resides in Aptos with his wife and four kids.

Rick joined the fuse team back in ‘09 and brought a wealth of on the job construction related experience. He is the man when it comes to layout, which is the way to start a job. When he’s not building something he is probably shooting something, with a bow, as guns are too easy (He likes a challenge).

Alder is on a constant mission to learn and grow. When he’s not in the office working on progressive architecture, you can probably find him with his family or in pursuit of fun in the great outdoors. He loves to climb, paddle hard to catch a wave or find himself knee deep in the fluffy stuff up at Tahoe. Travelling far and wide has always been an obsession near and dear to Alder’s heart. His design interests range from sustainability and biomimicry to cutting-edge modernism and the ancient forms of temples.

Courtney is the “do it all” in our office, not only can she “do it all” but she does it with a smile. Her energy and excitement for architecture and construction is contagious and keeps the office running smooth. She has construction related experience that led her to pursue her interests in architecture and we are glad she joined our team.
